Bless & Release 2025

Dec 29, 2025

A Simple Bless & Release for the Year

Before the year ends, there’s often this quiet ominous pressure.

I feel it, so I am sure you do too.

A pressure to sum it up.

To decide whether it was good year or bad year.

Whether it was productive or wasted.

Were you a success or a failure.

But the years or your life don’t fit neatly into boxes.

They are not meant to.

Each year is layered, beautifully holding growth and grief at the same time.

Each year should change us in ways we don’t always notice right away.

Our years are meant to be lived!

So, a bless and release exercise isn’t an exercise in judging the year or yourself.

It is a moment in time to take a pause to look back and simply reflect.

To look back with clarity and through the lens of love and acceptance.

Bless What Carried You

Blessing the year doesn’t mean pretending it was easy or that everything worked out.

It means taking stock of what helped.

Where you showed up.

What you handled.

What you changed.

and what changed you.

Maybe you didn’t hit the goals you set.

And maybe you did, and but it still felt hard.

Both can be true.

Before moving forward, it’s useful to name what deserves acknowledgment.

Release What You’re Done Carrying

There are things we do to survive certain situations.

Ways of thinking.

Ways of pushing.

Ways of avoiding.

Ways of talking to ourselves.

Sometimes we look back and clearly see these tactics were not helping at all but were actually starting weighing us down.

Releasing isn’t about blaming yourself or telling yourself you “should know better by now.”

It’s about choosing not to bring any of that energy into your next best year.

You’re allowed to leave behind:
The pressure.
The rules you no longer want to believe as true.
And expectations that don’t fit anymore.

A Gentler Reset

Instead of big resolutions or a promise to reinvent yourself, I invite you to use this time to reflect and focus on something simpler.

What do you want stop?

What do you want to start?

And what you want to continue?

The worksheet below is an invitation (not an assignment).

Take what helps.

Leave the rest.

Either way I am proud of you
